A former Midland Railway junction station where the loop line to Ashchurch via Redditch, Alcester and Evesham left the main Birmingham - Bristol line. The branch now terminates at Redditch and forms the southernmost section of the Cross City Line from Lichfield. The main line platforms are retained for a few peak time services. The Cross City Line platforms were fitted with a water spray system to reduce flange wear and noise. The system can be seen in use in this picture taken on 16th July 2005 (Picture courtesy of Rob Grapes).	The pipes for the water spray system remain on the track but appear to no longer be in use. 2nd October 2008.
